One Windows limit: a window that runs as administrator may not accept typing from a regular app.

Yes. Offline engines run on your PC: 2,000 words a day on the free plan, unlimited with Pro. File transcription is always offline. The standard and Soniox engines need the internet.
Pro checks your license online now and then; without the internet it keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for.
With an offline engine (and for file transcription) everything stays on your PC. With an online engine your audio is sent to that engine's provider to be transcribed; VoiceKeyboard does not store your recordings. You choose the engine.
Pro includes 1,500 Soniox credits a month. One credit is one minute of audio that Soniox processed — pauses count too, so a forgotten open microphone costs credits.
The month starts on the day you pay: buy on the 28th and your credits renew on the 28th, every month — on a yearly plan too. The credits you have left are shown in the app, on the recognition panel.
Credits do not roll over: the minutes you did not use expire when the month ends, and a fresh 1,500 arrive.
When they run out, dictation does not stop: it continues with the standard engine (or an offline model) until your credits renew.
Yes. A Soniox recording can be any length — it carries on without a break, using your credits. If the credits run out in the middle, the same recording continues with the standard engine.
Online engines (standard and Soniox) stop by themselves after at most a minute of silence, so an open microphone does not run on. Offline models can listen as long as you like.
Yes. The live transcript screen in the app can be switched off, so your words are not shown in the window. They still go to the window you are typing in.

No. There is one app. Install it, and it works on the free plan; when you buy Pro you get a license code by e-mail, enter it in the app and Pro turns on. Your settings and counters stay as they are.
On up to 3 computers at the same time. To move Pro to a new computer, release an old one in the app.
Any time. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after it. The app then goes back to the free plan; your settings, counters and files are kept.
